Last week I mentioned how blessed and excited we are to be getting 2 additional deacons here at Prince of Peace! This week and next, I want to share more about them. Greetings, Prince of Peace parishioners! My name is Deacon Leon Suprenant, and I am excited to be one of the new deacons assigned to Prince of Peace parish this month!

Happy Father’s Day! Here are some inspiring Holy Father quotes about the importance of fathers:

“A good father knows how to wait and knows how to forgive from the depths of his heart. Certainly, he also knows how to correct with firmness: He is not a weak father, submissive and sentimental. This weekend, we embark back into our Sundays in Ordinary Time. On Sundays following the Easter Season we celebrate the different mysteries of the Faith. After Pentecost ended the Season of Easter, we celebrated Holy Trinity Sunday, followed by Corpus Christi. As we enter back into this hallowed time, here are some fun facts about Ordinary Time:

This Sunday is Corpus Christi Sunday! The day in which we celebrate the Eucaharist as it truly is, the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. As is common in many places throughout the Church, we are having a Eucharistic Procession through the neighborhood in order to show off that which we love the most and are the most proud of: the Eucharist. Many of our parishioners have put in a great amount of time and effort to pull this all off. If you see one of them around in the coming weeks, I ask that you thank them for all the work they have done.

The month of May we will be doing Ministry Fairs after all the Sunday Masses. Each weekend will highlight a different category of these ministries. This last weekend May 25/26 we are highlighting liturgical ministries.This includes: Art & Environment, Hospitality Ambassadors, Ushers, Altar Servers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Sacristans, Lectors, Music Ministry, Lazarus Funeral Ministry, and more.

The month of May we will be doing Ministry Fairs after all the Sunday Masses. Each weekend will highlight a different category of these ministries. This weekend May 11/12 we are highlighting service ministries. This includes: Altar Linen Care, Alb Care, Baptismal Garments, Social Concerns, Respect Life, Blood Drive, Bread Runners, Advent Giving Tree, St.

The month of May we will be doing Ministry Fairs after all the Sunday Masses. Each weekend will highlight a different category of these ministries. This weekend May 4/5 we are highlighting prayer ministries. This includes:

Parish Vocations Cross - specifically pray for an increase and renewed strength for vocations to the priesthood, religious life, and marriage. 

Eucharistic Adoration - Spend an hour (or more!) with our Lord each week in the Blessed Sacrament, located in our parish Adoration Chapel.
